1 - No Poverty

Innovations oriented to end poverty can take multiple forms. Inclusive, frugal and bottom of the pyramid innovations are some of the terms used to describe innovations addressing the needs of low income groups. Moreover, innovation and entrepreneurship can empower people and create positive conditions to help entire groups to move out of poverty and/or to decrease a condition of relative poverty (e.g. access to basic services, literacy, etc.).

For example, innovation  can provide simplified access to basic goods and services by promoting product sharing, repair and maintenance. Other examples are linked to the provision of affordable, durable and safe products and services to be repaired and maintained, creating local jobs.
